Rendering Post-production | Photoshop (for 3D ARTISTS)

Artist and instructor Ciro Sannino has released an interesting short tutorial explaining how artists can improve a scene's lighting using Photoshop.

From the author:

Post-production in Photoshop to improve your lighting with this fantastic tip to fix the lack of Chiaroscuro. (this topic is explained in depth into my , Chaos Academic)

In this type of post-production applying a curve to increase the contrast is not enough: here we must apply concepts of Chiaroscuro: gradients and steps.
As you can notice, in these corners the "steps" (= relevant variation of light amount) are not very pronounced. Usually, it depends on the space and the way how the light bounces around.
