I think its the camera lens and position that make the shot "ordinary" in addition to the sun hard shadows...try softer shadows...AO pass would also help...

Your interior portfolio looks good, but the external shot needs working on to bring it the same standard.

that was client wish ... i guess you can show us something none "ordinary" to support your comment, because i can't see any samples of your work....
