Something's bugging me, I think it's part DOF and part composition. The Buddha and the trees both being in sharp focus is a bit of a stretch, and the flowers being so prominent in the foreground but out of focus would be a problem in a photograph. Might be stronger without the flowers, and with a it more light on the Buddha. Also, side note, I don't think a Buddha statue and a torii gate go together...
