The glass block wall looks quite real, however I'd say the opposite about the work surface. It really does look far too thick - would it not be 12mm laminated (2x6mm) glass?
Plus when I look at the end of a piece of glass it's generally always a very dark green due to total internal refraction & a small amount of iron giving it the green hue. Use the Fog parameter to achieve this.
