Not sure if this still happens but when I first started in architecture I worked in a small firm that did a lot of residential. It was common that our marketing photography was shot when the sidewalk and streets were wet. This was done to enhance the color, saturation, and depth of the photograph. I could be wrong but I believe the photographer often had the house / property hosed down in order to get this look. I am pretty sure that would be frowned on today. I wonder if this was considered a cop out by other photographers?
