Hey you guys!
In cause of so many beautiful images that have been submitted to the Evermotion competition, it is beyond any question that it will be a tough to get some attention. We tried, we did our best but unfortunately it hasn’t been good enough this time.
This is the piece we hand in.

Huge compliments for the winners and thanks to Evermotion for organizing that interesting competition. It has been a lot of fun and we will continue and keep our interest high.
One of our major challenges was not just to pay attention to the interior part of the loft, but to place it within a highly detailed neighborhood. It wasn't just about creating an interior but to tell a story between the inside and the outside.

A loft with a leaking ceiling and a problematic heating situation might not be considered as the place one would love to live in but as the title already says, work has just begun.

We believe in the effect of the extraordinary. We believe that the key to a successful museum lies in its ability to inspire visitors, create wonder, and enhance experience beyond the the common and easily consumed in favor of the stimulating, the daring, and the whimsical. We see this project as a signal of hope for the future of the city by introducing a tangible energy. The rebirth of an industrial icon.

The re-branding of a 1950 building as a receptacle for a Museum of Underwater Antiquities addressing Greek Antiquities creates a unique chance. We felt it was more logical to emphasize the existing industrial building then to create a completely new structure. We did this by extraction, to reveal the inner working of the original silos and by addition through placing the program atop the building. This unveils the existing beauty of the silos, its concrete roughness, its modern simplicity and industrial function and accentuates it with a reflective programmatic crown of glass and gold mylar micro perf.

The approach we took in designing the Taichung Fine Arts Museum and Library was to create a sustainable landmark. To become a landmark this project adopts a form that resists easy classification to free-associate with successive symbols of moods: the industrial, the utilitarian, the abstract, and the poetic. It combines maximum artistry with maximum efficiency. Given its location and placement, the figure of the building takes a geometrical stand in relation to the surroundings and creates a microcosm of the natural environment within public space, a reference to the natural landscape of Taiwan, an island known for its various altitudes and diverse microclimates.

This piece is the product of a mix of techniques, first 3dmax2012 and zbrush for the trees, the branches where created with the modelling tools from 3dmax2012. Grass is multiscatter and the grass on the trees is multipainter.
The postproduction is a mix from photoshop and after effects, wich we are using more and more.
